this hotel is a nice little gem hidden behind motorway services. the reception and lounge area r super comfy and welcoming. Our room had just the most amazin view of the moorland. the staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was scrumptious. it's a chill place to stop when driving long distances, feels like a home away from home. def recommend for a relaxing stay!

I stayed in the Classic Twin Room, and it was super comfy! The views of the moorland were stunning, and the bed was seriously the best. It was really clean and quiet, which made it a great spot to relax after a long drive. Plus, I loved the little treats they provided, like homemade shortbread. Definitely felt cozy with the warm log fire in the lounge area as well.

Although the dining options were good, I found the dinner menu somewhat limited. One noticeable downside was that the road leading to the hotel was dark and challenging to navigate at night. I also noticed some noise from neighboring rooms that was mildly disruptive. though, it was a charming stay with plenty of great moments.

We had a fantastic stay with our two little kids! The restaurant had friendly staff who were great with kids, and the food is delicious, especially the local dishes. The atmosphere is warm, and we loved exploring the nearby Lake District for hikes and bird watching.

My kids wished there were more kids' activities available on site.

Though it was unfortunate that the junction was closed causing some delays, the staff remained polite and understanding, showcasing excellent hospitality.
